  • Annette Diggs

    Founder/CEO

    Is the founder and visionary of EDGE Outdoors. She is a Level 1 PSIA instructor, scientist, mountaineer, licensed paraglider, and humanitarian. Annette is a member of Ski California DEI Task Force, a constituent of Snowsports Industries America’s Inclusion Committee, and serves on the USHPA Women’s Committee. She has spent over a decade fostering and developing marginalized communities in the outdoors; and has led humanitarian efforts in Cuba and Tanzania.

  • Andrew Lu

    Co-Chair

    Andrew got into the outdoors later in life. But when he did, he goes all the way. He's an engineer working in biotech and is an enthusiastic skier, mountaineer, scuba diver, and has stood up on a surf board once for 5 seconds. In and out of his professional life, he's an avid advocate for inclusive participation of people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Dr. Dodie Arnold

    Epidemiologist/Interim-deputy director

    Dr. Arnold is a multilingual, creative public health professional with 20+ years of progressive leadership in epidemiology, evaluation, and health policy fields. Her work is centered on environmental stewardship, outdoor inclusion, and building wellness and capacity within systematically oppressed communities and organizations that serve them. She is the Founder and CEO of the climate justice and inclusion-focused nonprofit organization, Arnold Climate & Resilience (Arnold CR), and the public health and social justice-focused consulting firm, Intended Impact.

    Dr. Arnold an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer at Southern New Hampshire University and Benedictine University.

  • Jacquelyn Anne

    Chief Financial Officer/Facilitator of Fun

    Jacque is a Level 1 AASI instructor and an accountant with the personality of an outgoing sales rep. She is a master of ceremony and loves when the occasion calls for the outdoors. If she sets her mind on it, rest assured that her heart is there too. Snowboarding is not just an escape, it's her calling to commune with both nature and humanity.

  • Érica Gonzalez

    Board Member/Consultant

    Érica is a non-binary woman from the border of Texas and Mexico. They have a passion for DEI and recreation. Érica has experience playing division 1 soccer in college and is LEARNING TO embrace snow sports as a newcomer to the the Pacific Northwest.

    Érica has been recognized by health and human services, the office of regulatory affairs, and the FDA for her facilitation and IDEA efforts. They are a community organizer, specifically in social, disability and reproductive justice advocate.

  • Nikki Navio

    Program Coordinator - Salt Lake City

    Nikki immigrated to the US and grew up in Alaska where she spent time fishing, camping, and embracing nature with her family. She enjoys all outdoor activities - skiing, mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing - but finds the most joy in sharing these pursuits with others and building community. Nikki is currently based in Utah where she is an urban planner, leads the Radical Adventure Riders Salt Lake City chapter, serves on the board of Bike Utah, and enjoys tending her chickens.

  • Parker Tikson

    Creative Director

    Parker is a photographer, storyteller, and "master-of-none" outdoors enthusiast based in Seattle, WA. As a partner for the Washington National Park Fund, he splits his time between the mountains, water, and forests of the PNW. Parker's work is centered around environmental conservationism and outdoor adventure.

  • Skyler Davis

    Photography/Videography/Writer

    Skyler Davis is a second-year Graduate Student at the University of Oregon. Her studies are concentrated within the Department of Global Studies and are focused on International Community Development. She is also pursuing a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the School of Planning, Public Policy, and Management.

    Skyler is a photographer, cinematographer, and avid explorer of the outdoors who aims to highlight the experiences of BIPOC individuals in outdoor spaces.

    Upon completion of her master’s, Skyler plans to pursue a career in Social and Community Impact within an Outdoor or Athletic brand.

  • Maryanna Brown

    Editor and Communication Specialist

    Mary fell in love with winter recreation (and hot Tang) while nordic ski and snowshoe racing in her hometown of Palmer, Alaska. Since moving to Seattle from Beijing in 2010, she can often be found on the skin track, climbing, or backpacking with her golden retriever Momo. Mary is the Guide Manager at Alpine Ascents International where she plays a leading role in diversity and inclusion efforts and affinity programing. She is a Trail Mixed Leader, a member of the Mountaineers Advisory Council, and still finds time to sling vegetables at the U-District Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.

  • Emma Renly

    Taos Ski Valley Ski Patroller

    Writer/Editor

    The most common question Emma hears is, "Where are you?" The answer may vary depending on the season, but you can bet that she'll be skiing on patrol in Taos, New Mexico once winter rolls around. She's previously written for various companies such as Freeskier and Men's Journal, and has also been vital in publishing the Moab-based indie magazine The Dust Mag and both volumes of the collaboration book titled, 'Poems for Our Ex-Lovers.' She believes in the power of writing, and what it can bring to an organization.

  • Digital & Social Media Marketing Specialist needed

    Volunteer Position Open

    Looking for a Social Media and Marketing Specialist to enhance and promote engagement on our platforms.

    • Commitment 5-15 hours per a month.

    • Responsible for social media management: Instagram, Facebook, and the investigation and expansion into other relevant social medium

    • Develops content for each channel as appropriate, schedules and produces posts consistently

    • Skills:

      • Fluent in Squarespace

      • Experience with Canva

      • Effective communication skills

    Qualities:

    • Must be anti-racist and be culturally competent

    • Excellent collaboration skills

    • Charismatic and generous enough to share the last doughnut.
