Aspen Wellness Retreat
At EDGE Outdoors, we are committed to the health and well-being of Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color (cis, trans, queer) through the transformative power of snow sports, nature, and community. Founded and led by a Black woman, our mission is to provide a holistic approach to physical and mental health, fostering wellness and self-advocacy in historically marginalized communities.
Reconnecting, Restoring, and Thriving
At EDGE Outdoors, we believe in creating intentional spaces for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color to reconnect with nature, nurture their well-being, and restore their sense of self. Our Wellness Retreats are a transformative experience where sisterhood and healing take center stage. Through a blend of outdoor adventures, guided meditation, and wellness workshops, participants are empowered to prioritize rest, growth, and joy.
Over four days, attendees immersed themselves in the beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley, engaged in meaningful workshops, and learned about the region’s Indigenous history and healing landscapes.
Highlights included:
Adventure and Connection: From mountain biking to e-biking the iconic Maroon Bells route to navigating whitewater rapids with expert guides, participants explored Colorado’s stunning natural terrain while forging lasting bonds.
Cultural and Environmental Education: Through collaborations with Indigenous leaders and local organizations, participants gained a deeper understanding of the land’s history, ecology, and cultural significance.
Wellness-Focused Activities: Guided meditations, private hikes, and fly fishing provided serene opportunities for reflection, mindfulness, and physical health in peaceful, secluded settings
Our retreats are more than just experiences—they’re a movement to rewrite the narrative for Women of Color in outdoor spaces. By providing opportunities to rest, heal, and thrive, we affirm that wellness and adventure belong to everyone.
Join us for future EDGE Wellness Retreats, where we honor our connection to nature, each other, and ourselves. Together, we create a vision of equity, joy, and sustainability in the great outdoors.
