EDGE Choice Awards

  • The essence of community leadership is the courage and desire to initiate and inspire change within society. A great leader has the motivation to drive positive change, inspire, and collaborate with community organizations.

    Whether a recognized leader or not, four scholarships (2 Seattle area and 2 national) will be given to Black, Indigenous, Women of Color including Trans-Women or Genderqueer in order to cultivate inclusivity in snow sports.

  • EDGE Choice Award consists of 4 scholarships (2 Seattle area and 2 national) which include:

    1) Three days of Group Lessons Ski or Snowboard at Stevens Pass Ski Area.

    2) Recipients will receive:

    Lift Tickets

    Rental gear

    Shared Lodging

    Travel stipend (National recipients only)

    * Not provided: Meals and ground transportation

  • 1. Nominee must 18 years of age or older and a never-ever or beginner+ to snow sports.

    2. Nominee must be a Black, Indigenous , Woman of Color including Trans-Woman of Color, or Genderqueer persons under-represented in snow sports

    3. Nominee must have strong personal motivation to learn the skiing or snowboarding disciplines

    4. Nominee must currently live in the United States and be a citizen, permanent resident, or DACA of the United States of America. Note: Seattle or surrounding areas (i.e. King, Snohomish, and Pierce county) are encourage to apply.
